Justin Baldoni launched a website containing legal documents for his lawsuit against Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, and it includes some alleged text exchanges between them.
Now that the pre-trial hearing between Lively and Baldoni is due to go to court tomorrow (3 February), the It Ends With Us drama is quickly unfolding before everyone’s eyes.
The website was published yesterday (1 February), and shares two publicly available documents which the courts have.

This includes Baldoni's amended complaint against Lively and a 'timeline of relevant events' which shows alleged text messages.
Now, these alleged texts appear to show some surprising things from Lively’s husband Ryan Reynolds before their feud, as well as exchanges afterwards.
This timeline also included censored content, which Baldoni's team alleges is correspondence between himself and others involved in the lawsuit.

It starts on 1 January, 2019 when Baldoni emails It Ends With Us author Colleen Hoover about turning the much-loved book into a film adaptation.
The final entry is 29 January, 2025, which mentions the New York Times, which he is also suing for defamation.
At the beginning of the alleged text exchanges between Baldoni and Reynolds, things seem pretty good between the pair.
Baldoni and Reynolds exchange text messages expressing mutual respect
The doc shows that the director reached out to Reynolds on 28 February, 2023 after asking Lively for his phone number.

In the alleged text messages, Baldoni wrote: “I asked Blake for your number well over a month ago and have wanted to text you for a while now, but my good ol' nerves got the best of me.”
He claimed that the text was ‘awkward’, but wanted to be friends.
Baldoni wrote: “Emily and I have a very small circle. We live out in the country in [sic] and pretty much just hang out with each other. We've known all our closest friends for years, and I don't really have any close female friends that my wife isn't also friends with, let alone married ones. And so I guess this is just an awkward text to say I'd like to be friends.”

That’s when Reynolds reportedly responded: “What a loving and generous message. Thank you. We're both looking forward to getting to know you and your family better. We're also big fans over here. Since before we met, and more-so after.
“You've been a wonderful collaborator with [sic], and that meant a great deal - to both of us. Being a stand-up person is everything, and you've been just that since day one. Thank you.”
He added: “She literally passes on every film and filmmaker all the time.
“But I know one thing - and I speak from a deep wellspring of experience here, having her in your court behind the scenes as a creative is invaluable.”

Reynolds continued: “I'm excited for you to work together. I'm excited for Blake to crack open her creative piggy bank with someone as dynamic as you. This is gonna be INCREDIBLE.”
He ended the message: “I happen to adore you, Justin.”
However, things appeared to turn sour in April 2023, after Baldoni was reportedly called to Lively’s New York City penthouse where Reynolds ‘aggressively’ scolded him about allegedly asking about his wife’s weight.
The 168-page filing also showed a text allegedly from Lively to Baldoni in April 2023 about rewriting a rooftop scene, stating: “If you knew me (in person) longer you'd have a sense of how flirty and yummy the ball busting will play.
“It's my love language. Spicy and playfully bold, never with teeth...”
Lively's team responds to Baldoni's website
Lively's attorney Michael Gottlieb told the Daily Mail the website was created to 'influence proceedings and the public perception' of the case with 'inflammatory content'.
He said: "He further has made it clear that his priority is to 'torpedo Blake Lively's career for good' by, among other things, creating a website to release strategically selected documents and communications between Ms. Lively and Mr. Baldoni.
"The planned website will release what Mr. Freedman self-servingly proclaims will be 'full unedited WhatsApp, text and email exchanges between Lively and Baldoni', although neither the media nor public will have any way of knowing which communications Mr. Freedman has selectively omitted from disclosure, including communications that Mr. Freedman and his clients may have deleted."
Lively's attorney claimed that the documents posted to the website would be 'incomplete, biased, and prejudicial by design'.
LADbible Group has reached out to Ryan Reynolds' representatives for comment.
