With drips and drabs of information available here and there, a GTA 6 update is possibly set to be on the way.
However, having been disappointed before and waiting for what feels like a century, fans are getting worried over a resurfaced delay warning.
There is still no exact release date set for the highly anticipated game (although it’s been slated for this year), with new features recently revealed.

There hasn’t even been a date for a second trailer for GTA 6, so fans have been left clinging to anything, picking apart every single little thing the big bosses say and searching for information through Take-Two, the parent company behind Rockstar Games.
And that’s where it’s been flagged that next month has some kind of potential for new GTA 6-related information.

But again, it’s worth noting that like most things to do with the next part of the franchise so far, it’s really all just speculative right now.
It was recently announced that Take-Two Interactive Software has plans to report its financial results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year 2025 next month.

After the market close on 15 May, the company plans to hold a ‘conference call to discuss its results’ at 4:30pm EST (9:30pm UK time).
Now, as flimsy as this might be, some GTA fans are hopeful there might just be something revealed, maybe a glimmer of hope in this report.
So, as that’s just weeks away, fans are bringing back up a former Rockstar employee’s delay warning for the game.
Back in September, he took to X to warn how far in advance developers may delay the release of GTA 6.

And one Reddit user shared it with the caption: “Remember we are near to May.”

In September 2024, Obbe Vermij wrote on X: “The decision to delay GTAIV was made four months or so before the original release date. Any further and it’s hard to make the call.
“R* is probably not in a position to determine whether they will hit 2025 until May-ish.”
While clarifying that he has ‘no inside info’ and ‘didn’t talk to anyone’, he added that GTA 6 ‘will sell for 10+ years’ and that there’s ‘no competition to worry about’.

Vermij concluded: “They are not going to release the game until they’re 100 percent happy with it. No matter what it said in the trailer.”
However, some fans think this ‘delay’ has already happened as one commented: “We can’t know yet. But I’m optimistic because I think the delay already happened and GTA was supposed to be the spring 2025 game.”
Another said: “If they delay it better show something like gameplay or give us something.”
As one held on that there’s ‘no evidence’ to suggest a delay.
