Ryan Reynolds was quick to respond after his pal and long-term wind-up buddy Hugh Jackman shared a video of himself running into the sea.
The Wolverine star posted a clip of himself taking a New Year’s day dip in the ocean, after telling his followers: “Happy New Year everyone. I wish you all every blessing for 2024, no matter what may come, including freezing water.”
You can see how that went here:
After spending a few moments in the cold water, Jackman runs back towards dry land.

As ever, Reynolds was right there to leave a sarcastic comment, writing: “Dear god don’t do it.”
The frenemies started their ‘feud’ back in 2008, with Jackman previously joking that he limits planning his retribution on Reynolds to five-hours a day.
"I’ve found in the past that it just gets unhealthy if it’s more than five hours of obsessing over how to get Ryan Reynolds,” he joked. “But five hours is good and healthy and keeps me strong and ready."
Reynolds has previously branded Jackman a ‘monster’ and told his X followers: “He’s not even from Australia. He’s from Milwaukee.”

Last year, Jackman put out a plea to Oscar decision-makers to retract their nomination for Reynolds for the Best Song category, which he earned for 'Good Afternoon' from his Christmas flick Spirited with Will Ferrell.
In the funny clip, he said: "I loved Spirited. It’s a great movie, we had a blast, the entire family watched it.
"I love Will, I love Octavia... and 'Good Afternoon', I laughed the entire way through. It is absolutely brilliant.

"However, I just heard that the Academy have shortlisted 'Good Afternoon' in the Best Song category.
"Now, Ryan Reynolds getting a nomination in the Best Song category would make the next year of my life insufferable.
"I have to spend a year with him shooting Wolverine and Deadpool. And trust me, it would be impossible, it would be a problem."

He finishes by saying: "Please, from the bottom of my heart, do not validate Ryan Reynolds."
Jackman even roped in Jake Gyllenhaal back in 2018, pranking Reynolds at Christmas time by telling him it was a ‘sweater party’ meaning he turned up in a rather garish festive jumper, while the others didn’t. Awkward.
However, the following year, Reynolds managed to get his own back with a similar prank.
Despite their back and forth trolling, the pair are set to star in the highly anticipated Deadpool 3 together, which will see Jackman entering the beloved superhero franchise by reprising his role as Wolverine.
