People are utterly flabbergasted to discover William Shatner's actual age after seeing the Star Trek legend on TV.
He's been around seemingly forever and it's been a whopping 58 years since we first saw Kirk and the crew of the Enterprise boldly go where no one has gone before.
Given all that, it's only natural that he'd be getting up there in years, but viewers who just saw him on Today have been stunned to learn the actual number of years he's been on this planet.
It's not as if he's living the quiet life either, and back in 2021 he became the oldest man to fly into space.

Shatner's got a birthday coming up and was sharing his secret to living a long and happy life.
Apparently it's 'don't tell anybody' how old you actually are, but luckily William Shatner doesn't have to tell people because plenty have already been discussing the exact number.
This Friday (22 March) is going to be his 93rd birthday and it is frankly astonishing that he looks so good to have spent more than nine decades in the world.

His fans have been saying they'd have guessed he looks like a man in his 60s or 70s, not one who had gone beyond 90.
"I nearly Shatner myself when I found out his age," one witty soul quipped, and another commented that being 'still sharp and has his hair' meant they 'never would have guessed 93'.
While humans are now living a very long time, it's really something to see Shatner in such a good condition ahead of his 93rd birthday.
Some people just aren't having it, saying 'he can't be 93' and while that's technically true for the next couple of days, it soon won't be.

One person even said he was 'still hot even at 93', in case you forgot that Captain Kirk had a reputation for getting very close to some of the alien species he encountered over the Star Trek run.
On top of that, while many folks in their 90s would be in a retirement home, Shatner is still out and about with a busy calendar.
In a tweet yesterday he described this week's itinerary as: "Working.

"The rest of the week is: work, screening with Q&A, Kimmel, Red Carpet, Party with Kevin Smith and then cake!"
In a 2021 interview with The Guardian, he denied having any significant work done and shared his own thoughts on his longevity.
“Well, I don’t have any secret potions. It must be genetic," he said at the time.
"I ride a lot of horses and I’m into the bewilderment of the world, so I open my heart and head into the curiosity of how things work."
