Ryan Reynolds has shared his heartwarming response after learning that his wife Blake Lively's new film has outperformed his new Deadpool movie.
Hollywood power-couple Reynolds and Lively have been in a blockbuster battle over these past couple of weeks after their films - Deadpool & Wolverine and It Ends with Us - were released just over two weeks apart.
Despite Reynolds final outing as Wade Wilson having the star power backing of Hugh Jackman reprising his role as Wolverine, his Marvel blockbuster has since been outperformed by Lively's It Ends with Us, which is based on Colleen Hoover's book of the same title.

According to a report from Deadline, the film beat Deadpool & Wolverine to number one at Wednesday's (14 August) box office following a tight race between the films.
It Ends with Us would remain in the number one spot until Friday (16 August) when it slid into third place behind Deadpool and newly released Alien: Romulus.
Now, if you're wondering what a race to a box office number one looks like in the Lively-Reynolds household, you'll be glad to learn that it's a very civil affair as the Marvel star, 47, had nothing but praise for his wife after learning about her numbers success.

"I think that's the sign of a good relationship," he said in an interview with Sunday Today, adding: "[It's the] only time in my life I've ever dreamt of coming in second."
Revealing that he and Lively, 36, have always been very supportive of each other's careers, he added: "It's always been the one kind of constant with Blake and I is that we really root for each other."
Lively was similarly glowing about her working relationship with Reynolds, telling E! News: "We help each other. He works on everything I do, I work on everything he does.
"His wins, his celebrations are mine and mine are his."

Meanwhile, Lively has recently found herself the subject of unwanted controversy over It Ends with Us, with allegations of a rift between the actress and her co-star/the film's director Justin Baldoni following a messy promotional tour.
Neither Baldoni or Lively has commented publicly on the feud rumour, however, increased media attention has seen an awkward interview featuring Lively from 2016 resurface.
During promotion for Woody Allen's film Cafe Society, Lively and co-star Parker Posey were interviewed by Norwegian journalist Kjersti Flaa, with clip showing a frosty interaction between the women.

In a video uploaded by Flaa to YouTube, which was titled 'The Blake Lively interview that made me want to quit my job', the journalist is seen congratulating Lively on her pregnancy - only for the actress to seemingly take offence to the comment.
Speaking about the interaction on YouTube show Popcorned Planet, Flaa said: "I think she was just, like – she didn’t want to be there and she didn’t want me to be there.
"And I think she was just being in a bad mood and I don’t know if me congratulating her on her pregnancy made her in such a horrible mood that she felt she had to punish me."
