Over 23 years on from Home Alone's release and people still have questions about the Christmas classic.
In case you didn't know, the film is based on the adventures of Kevin McCallister (portrayed by Macaulay Culkin) being left behind by his family who jet off to Paris for the festive period.
Kevin has to be the man of the house while his parents are away and prevent the so-called 'Wet Bandits' from breaking in - but the McCallister's home is far from your average abode.
The house is more of a mansion really, and boasts a number of bedrooms - enough to comfortably sleep Kevin, his parents, his siblings, his aunt and uncle and his several cousins the night before their trip.

And that's not all as Kevin's dad also apparently footed the bill for everyone to jet to Paris for Christmas.
With this in mind, many Home Alone fans are still questioning to this day how the McCallister's ended up so wealthy - especially as Kevin's parents' professions are never addressed.
And there have been many theories about what the parents did for work - with some even going as far to suggest that Kevin's dad, Peter McCallister (played by John Heard), was a mob boss.
But Catherine O'Hara, who played as Kevin's mum, Kate McCallister, has since give her own two cents on the matter.

O'Hara chatted to PEOPLE ahead of the release of her new movie, Argylle.
The spy thriller boasts an all-star cast made up of Henry Cavill, Dua Lipa, Sam Rockwell, Bryce Dallas Howard and John Cena (to name a few).
In the interview with the publication, she was asked about fans' theories about about the McCallisters could afford such luxuries.

"I thought the house was pretty amazing," O'Hara said.
But while she knew the house was lavish, the Schitt's Creek favourite hadn't thought about the McCallister's money.
She admitted: "I was aware of how beautiful it was, but no, I never thought of their money. That's not where my head was when I was doing [the movie]. Of course, they all went to Paris, didn't they?"
But, noting people's ongoing speculation, O'Hara suggested: "Maybe he inherited it... they inherited it."

While it's been over two decades since the release of Home Alone, is evident that the cast still have a strong bond as O'Hara recently reunited with her on-screen son Macaulay Culkin as he was awarded his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
O'Hara spoke during the ceremony, which brought the 43-year-old actor to tears.
She concluded her moving speech: "Macaulay, congratulations. You so deserve your star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame."
