People are absolutely loving an utterly brutal scene from an upcoming movie starring Dev Patel, who also directed the film.
It's the first feature film with him in the director's chair and if this fight scene is anything to go by the man knows how to shoot a brawl.
It's been attracting rave reviews from the critics, with a healthy IMDb score of 8.4 and a stonkingly good Rotten Tomatoes rating of 90 percent from 30 reviews.

On top of that, it's been transformed from a 'straight to Netflix' movie into getting a full-blown cinematic release ever since Jordan Peele hopped onto the project as a producer.
There's a name to give you confidence that the thing you'll be watching is a slice of excellence, and if you're a fan of action movies you'd better make a date in your diary to see this one.
The film is Monkey Man, in which Dev Patel stars as Kid, a young man who works in a fight club and gets seven shades of s**t knocked out of him by other more popular fighters.

Jump ahead a few years and Kid is out for revenge on a group of men who ruined his life.
According to Universal: "As his childhood trauma boils over, his mysteriously scarred hands unleash an explosive campaign of retribution to settle the score with the men who took everything from him."
Sounds like a blast.

If you want to know what that 'explosive campaign of retribution' looks like the scene above shows Patel pummelling his way through a kitchen full of baddies, tearing through them with whatever pots, pans, bottles and knives he can grab.
Basically, the movie looks f**king awesome and the critics have been saying excellent things about it, so get down to your local cinema and munch popcorn while Dev Patel mulches bad guys for your entertainment.
Folks watching the fight scene ahead of the movie's release have been getting hyped for Monkey Man.

One viewer wondered if the final fight scene in the film might be a 'oner' where it's all done in one take or looks like it with some hidden cuts slipped in, and what we can see now has just been cut down for the promo.
Plenty more compared the action to the John Wick movies, which is one hell of a compliment, but the leading star said it had more in common with Korean movies he'd watched and loved.
Speaking at the movie's premiere, Patel revealed he'd broken his foot just before filming Monkey Man after a stuntman stepped on it, while he also dislocated his shoulder and broke his hand during filming.
That's why you'll see a lot of one-handed action in the film, which the actor, director and producer said was 'born from my love of so much action cinema'.
