Jared Leto has rocked up to the Met Gala in yet another bonkers outfit – this time, dressed head to toe in a fluffy cat suit as an ode to Karl Lagerfeld’s pet.
The annual fundraising gala, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, is famous for guests’ red carpet arrival, where they’re expected to go all out.
And Leto didn’t disappoint, having decided to channel this year’s theme – Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty – in a very unique way.

The actor and musician paid tribute to the late German fashion designer, who passed away in February 2019, by dressing up as his beloved pet cat, Choupette.
Of course, at first we weren’t sure who was inside the giant cat suit, but he eventually stopped to remove the head, revealing himself – not that many people were that surprised, given his reputation in the past.
“Honestly Jared Leto under the cat suit was the most logical answer,” one tweeted.

Someone else said: “OFC ITS F**KING JARED LETO STAWP IT.”
A third added: “Of course it had to be Jared Leto.”
A fourth wrote: "Oh its Jared Leto ffs."
Leto then proceeded to take off the rest of the suit, before changing into outfit number two.

Of course, it’s not the first time he’s got tongues wagging with his Met Gala look.
Last year – when the theme was 'Gilded Glamour and White Tie' - fans were left confused about who or where Leto actually was.
You see, many thought Swedish entrepreneur Fredrik Robertsson was Leto, after wearing a silver Iris Van Herpen jumpsuit with impressive spokes of silver forming wings around his upper body.

His white hair appeared to be flecked with silver and he had dark eye makeup dotted with white spots; undoubtedly a striking look, but one that apparently disguised him just enough to pass as Leto.
Back in 2019, Leto also turned up with a replica of his own head, which ended up being a bit of a party prop that night, with Katy Perry, Kendall Jenner and Salma Hayek all pictured having a go of it.
For 2023, however, he’s had a bit of competition, as he’s not actually the only cat in attendance.
Doja Cat also channelled her inner Choupette, donning a silver skintight gown from Oscar de la Renta paired with facial prosthetics and cat eye make-up.

Speaking to Vogue she said: "I feel relaxed here. Maybe it’s the beige. I feel very calm, it’s very nice. Miaow."
