The Boys actor Antony Starr has responded to calls from fans for him to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and play Wolverine.
From Homelander to Wolverine, now, that is one big leap.
Artwork posted to Instagram by Spdrmnkyxxiii caught the attention of the 46-year-old actor, who responded: "Ooofff,- my bones ache just thinking of the stunt work!"
And just looking at Hugh Jackman’s gruelling regiment for the role, we don’t blame him.

However, many fans love the idea of Starr stepping into the role of Logan, with one person writing: “That’s actually perfect!”
Another person commented: “He would be great, but he's much too old IMO. Amazing art nonetheless.”
While some even theorised that his co-star, Karl Urban, would be a better fit, as one person said: “Karl Urban would be a better Wolverine tbh.”
Another wrote: “Either him or Karl Urban.”

However, some served up other choices as to which Hollywood A-lister would be perfect for the role.
One wrote: “I 100 per cent still think that Dan Radcliffe should be MCU Wolverine.”
While another said: “Nah he [Starr] doesn’t have the body type, bro is way too skinny. Soldier boy would be a better Wolverine.”
I mean, it wouldn’t be the first time Homelander and Soldier Boy have faced off.

Starr responded to the fan-made artwork, just as fans speculate whether Jackman will be reprising the role in the highly anticipated Deadpool 3.
Fans began to raise questions after the film’s director Shawn Levy confirmed he wanted Jackman and Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds to work together.
While speaking with Comicbook.com, Levy said of the potential crossover: "I'm not going to say where and how, but I absolutely will confirm my intention and determination to be the lucky son of a bitch who puts these two magnificent gods in the same movie together.

"That will happen and it will be me."
While little is known about the upcoming flick, it’s currently under development by Marvel through a Disney-Fox deal, according to Epic Stream.
Screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick will also be returning to the franchise after working on the first two films together, as per The Hollywood Reporter.
However, the two remained very tightlipped abut the plot, sharing they are working on the script at a ‘secret vault under an ocean somewhere’.
