Kylie Minogue confirmed she felt pressured to return for the final episode of the Australian soap opera Neighbours.
While appearing on Late Night With Seth Meyers, the former SNL head writer asked the pop icon about the series that catapulted her into fame.
Minogue shared: “When I was 19, I finished school, signed up for the Dole, cause I thought, ‘I’m never going to get a job’, but I got this role on Neighbours.”
And the rest is history.

The singer-songwriter said the show 'exploded' during her time there, building a very popular fanbase in the UK that helped launch her music career.
Minogue continued: “They’re finishing the show, and there was quite a bit of pressure for me to come back, so I shot my scenes.”
Thank goodness, because what’s a Neighbours finale without the queen of Ramsay Street herself.
The 54-year-old teased that actor Guy Pearce would also be returning for the last episode and noted how emotional everyone was on-set.

“We’re all going to cry,” she said.
The final episode is set to air on August 1 after running for 37 years, making it officially Australia’s longest-running soap.
News broke in March that the Australian television series would be axed due to low ratings, according to New Idea.
The official Neighbours Twitter page announced production would conclude after nearly 9000 episodes of broadcast.
They wrote: "We are so sorry to say that after nearly 37 years and almost 9000 episodes broadcast we have to confirm that Neighbours will cease production in June."

The statement also revealed that producers at FremantleMedia underwent an ‘extensive’ search for alternative funding as Channel 5 threatened to pull the show from the network.
They added: “We know this is a huge disappointment, as it is to all of us on the team. We thank you for all your messages and support and promise to end the show on an incredible high. From here on, we are celebrating Neighbours."
Despite the dwindling ratings, the show’s dedicated fans launched a petition on change.org to prevent the show from cancellation, which has already amassed over 68,000 signatures.
Regardless of the fan’s best efforts to keep the show running, we’re at least happy the biggest stars are returning to give the series a proper send-off.

But can we put in a request that golden girl Margot Robbie also pays a final visit to Ramsay Street? Thanks.
