Viewers tuning into the Brit Awards spotted something strange among the star-studded audience this evening (1 March).
As the camera panned to some of the celebrities sat in the crowd for the biggest night in UK music, it appeared as though Danny Dyer had an unusual companion.
A host of people have taken to social media to confirm they weren't hallucinating after seemingly spotting the former Eastenders star, 47, alongside a horse.

Yes, those hoofed animals which cowboys ride? People reckon one managed to bag a seat next to Dyer at the 2025 Brits.
Discussing the bizarre sight on X, one person wrote: "It’s highly likely Danny Dyer bringing a horse to the Brit awards won’t even make the top five of weirdest things to happen tonight."
Another said: "What on earth was sat next to Danny Dyer was it a horse??"

A third chimed in: "I thought I was tripping balls when I saw a HORSE sitting beside Danny Dyer."
While someone else commented: "Am I supposed to ignore the horse next to Danny Dyer?"
Don't worry if you were thinking along the same lines too, as you were not seeing things - and there is a perfectly reasonable explanation for Dyer's strange bedfellow.
Although it's not an actual horse sat beside him, viewers weren't far off.

It's actually German DJ HorsegiirL - known for hits such as 2022's 'My Barn My Rules' - who famously hides her identity behind a brown horse-head mask.
She claims her full name is Stella Stallion, who is supposedly a horse 'from the animal world that grew up on Sunshine Farms', according to GlamCult.

The anonymous musician also previously described herself as 'half-horse, half-human' to Vogue journalist Daniel Rodgers in November 2023.

HorsegiirL gave fans some more insight into her elaborate backstory during a previous interview with i-D, too.
She explained that she went from 'making up her own melodies in her head when she was a young foal' to being 'discovered by Whitney Horston at a harvest fest' in her teen years.
The singer and songwriter went on to say she'd 'love to work with all the animals - Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion, PinkPantheress - as well as anyone who is keen to make good music'.
So... take from that what you will.

Still, I'll bet that Dyer and HorsegiirL are having a right chat on that table, and she'll be fluent in cockney rhyming slang by the end of the night.
Most shocking and controversial Brits moments
1997: Geri Halliwell's Union Jack dress
It was a successful Brits for the Spice Girls, who took home the gong for British Single of the Year and British Video of the Year, but it was Geri Halliwell's dress that really stole the show.
The star's infamous minidress became a pop culture icon, stirring up plenty of controversy at the time thanks in no small part to her underwear being on show.

1998: Deputy PM John Prescott gets hurled with ice water
Danbert Nobacon, of pop band Chumbawamba, gave us one of the most jaw-dropping moments of the awards when he chucked a bucket full of ice water over then-deputy prime minister John Prescott, who was left with a suitably drenched outfit and a face like a slapped a*se.

2012: Adele gives the middle finger
Under pressure from producers to wrap things up, host James Corden cut off Adele's speech after she took home the gong for Best Album, which didn't go down well with the singer, who stuck up her middle finger to the camera.
Adele said the move was aimed at 'the suits at the Brit Awards, not to my fans', with the organisers later issuing an apology for cutting her off.

2015: Madonna takes a tumble
This was definitely one of those 'geez, I felt that' moments...
As Madonna returned to the Brits stage for the first time in two decades, things quickly went west after she went absolutely flying down a set of stairs thanks to a catastrophic wardrobe malfunction.
It was later found that her cape was tied on too tight, so when one of her dancers tried to take it off as part of a dramatic outfit reveal, it yanked the queen of pop offstage. Ouch.

2018: Stormzy takes aim at Theresa May
While performing a medley of his most popular hits, the grime star began to freestyle a verse about then-prime minister Theresa May's response to the Grenfell Tower fire.
"Yo, Theresa May, where’s the money for Grenfell? / What, you thought we just forgot about Grenfell? / You’re criminals, and you got the cheek to call us savages / You should do some jail time, you should pay some damages," he rapped.
2019: Jack Whitehall's insanely awkward Little Mix interview
In perhaps one of the most toe-curling moments in Brits history, host Jack Whitehall conducted a pretty awkward spontaneous chat with pop band Little Mix as he seemingly attempted to bring up their alleged feud with Piers Morgan.
"He didn’t like that picture where you stripped off naked … voluptuous chest and four chins, it must have been like looking in the mirror for him. Jesy, what would you say to that dutty wasteman?" Whitehall said - which, it's safe to say, went down like a lead balloon and resulted in the biggest tumbleweed moment of the event.
