Starring Wednesday star and scream queen icon Jenna Ortega, 21, the 'Taste' video sees the two women play jealous lovers competing over a boyfriend.
Throughout the three minute video, Ortega and Carpenter are seen battling it out with various weapons such as knives, chainsaws, voodoo dolls and picket fences, accidentally taking out their dearly beloved in the process.
The video is also packed full of references to various cult movies from the past couple of decades, such as Kill Bill Vol. 1, Death Becomes Her, Psycho, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and even a nod to her 'Please, Please, Please' video.

It's no surprise then that new Sabrina Carpenter song + Jenna Ortega + movie Easter eggs = huge hit with fans, as the video is now the number one trending video on YouTube after racking up 13 million views in one day alone.
The warm reception has clearly delighted the singer as well, as she has since taken to Instagram to share her joy over the milestone.
She posted a clip from the video alongside the caption: "#1 trending video thank you so much!!!"

Whether it's the catchy nature of the song or the fact that Carpenter and Ortega kiss at one point, the 'Taste' video has certainly gotten fans talking - and watching.
"I've watched this an unhealthy amount of times," one person wrote, while a second fan said: "Someone give them their Oscar now."
'Taste' has even received the seal of approval from Paris Hilton herself, with the socialite dropping a love-heart face emoji in the comments.

Halloween Ends
The love interest of Ortega and Carpenter is played by Rohan Campbell, who played Corey Cunningham in the 2022 video.
Kill Bill Vol. 1
The costume worn by Jenna resembles the one that Daryl Hannah's Elle Driver wears in the 2003 Quentin Tarantino movie when she attempts to kill the Bride in hospital.
Psycho
One scene sees Carpenter attempt to attack her rival in the shower with a kitchen knife - much like Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 classic.
Addams Family Values
Sabrina's fur look is widely believed to be a nod to Debbie Jellinsky in the 1993 film.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
One of the murder weapons Jenna uses is, of course, a chainsaw.
Ginger Snaps
Sabrina finds herself impaled on a white picket fence, much like the intro to 2000's Ginger Snaps.
