While plenty of people might be hooked on the latest true-crime series, many of us prefer the more fictional side of things.
And just in time, a popular British crime drama has finally landed on Netflix.
But while Gangs of London might be dubbed as ‘better than Peaky Blinders’, viewers have got a major complaint that’s making it ‘unwatchable’.
Based on the 2006 video game, the show premiered back in 2020 and has had two seasons so far.

Gangs of London follows rivals in the international underworld going to war over control of the British capital after assassins killed the patriarch of its reigning crime family.
And while a turf war ensues, the murdered man’s son Finn Wallace (played by Peaky Blinders star Joe Cole), sets out to avenge his death to maintain control over the family's criminal activities.
Fans absolutely love the show and say it’s a ‘better gangster series than Peaky Blinders’, but people are still having issues with watching it.

Complaints on social media claim viewers can’t get the subtitles on Netflix for Gangs of London.
One wrote on X: “I won’t watch Gangs of London until they get some subtitles going on there no chance.”
Another begged: “Could you please add subtitles for Gangs of London? I can’t seem to get by without them.”
Others pointed out that the show’s great but when the character’s aren’t speaking English it ‘would help if they knew what they were saying’.

Many called on the streaming site to ‘investigate why Gangs of London does not have any subtitles at all’ as another says it renders ‘the programme pointless’ without them.
Over on Reddit, another wrote: “I've started watching Gangs of London and for some reason there are no subtitle options, which is crazy in itself, but the biggest problem is that means there aren't any for the foreign language parts.
"I thought maybe there wasn't any by design but there's scenes full of it so I don't think so. Ridiculous.”

One also said they’ve ‘got partial hearing’: “The multilingual scenes are really fing me off."
This led to a user slamming: “I was planning on watching this guess I removed it from my list.”
But it’s not totally put viewers off, as one wrote: “I've kept watching it and done my best to keep up but I felt I've missed quite a bit. I've tweeted Netflix about it but, as expected, no reply.”
LADbible has contacted Netflix for comment.
