Chaotic comedy series Rick and Morty is coming back for a sixth season, and fans can’t wait to find out what’s in store for the crackpot scientist and his grandson.
It’s been a long old wait as season 5 wrapped way back on September 5, 2021, so it’s been the best part of a year for not-so-patient fans – but the good news is there isn’t long left to go! Considering there was a two-year wait between seasons 3 and 4, they’re making good time.

When is Rick and Morty season 6 coming out?
A new press release confirms Rick and Morty Season 6 will be hitting screens in the US on Sunday, Sept. 4. There is no UK release date yet.

It reads: “It’s season six and Rick and Morty are back! Pick up where we left them, worse for wear and down on their luck. Will they manage to bounce back for more adventures? A spin-off is also in the works, after Adult Swim ordered Rick and Morty: The Anime from director Takashi Sanok.

Fans were hoping a trailer would be released along with the official launch date, but no such luck.

However, they did release a first-look picture, and of course it’s as bizarre as ever. Both Rick and Morty have been hitting the pre-workout, sporting some serious abs.

Viewers in the US will be able to watch is on Adult Swim and through HBO Max and Hulu.

In the UK the new series will head to E4 first before Netflix, and in case you need a refresher the rest of the show is on Netflix to binge-watch before it comes out, too.
