The trailer for The Umbrella Academy’s anticipated third season has officially dropped and quite frankly it looks incredible. See for yourself:
Netflix’s genre-bending show will be back on our screens this summer with 10 hour-long episodes to binge-watch at your pleasure.

As is shown in the new trailer, the third run will introduce us to The Sparrow Academy - an almost identical school to Umbrella, but believed to be built with a better set of children.
It doesn’t take long for things to go awry as the OG crew realise the timeline is not quite as fixed as they thought it was.
Per Netflix’s synopsis: “After putting a stop to 1963’s doomsday, the Umbrella Academy return home to the present, convinced they prevented the initial apocalypse and fixed this godforsaken timeline once and for all.
“But after a brief moment of celebration, they realise things aren’t exactly (okay, not at all) how they left them.

“Enter the Sparrow Academy. Smart, stylish, and about as warm as a sea of icebergs, the Sparrows immediately clash with the Umbrellas in a violent face-off that turns out to be the least of everyone’s concerns.”
Despite their conflicting personalities, the Umbrellas will seemingly have to convince the new - and possibly better - family to help them battle an unidentified destructive entity and find a way to get back to their pre-apocalyptic lives.
Safe to say there’s a lot going on in season three for our faves, as well as the new crew.

The same goes for eccentric billionaire Sir Reginald Hargreeves (Colm Feore), the man to adopt the original group of exceptional children.
As well as his return, we’ll be seeing Justin H. Min, Aidan Gallagher, Robert Sheehan, Emmy Raver-Lampman, David Castañeda and Tom Hopper reprising their roles as the Umbrella Academy’s Ben, Five, Klaus, Allison, Diego and Luther respectively.
As for the Sparrow team, you’ve got Jayme (Cazzie David), Sloane (Genesis Rodriguez), Alphonso (Jake Epstein), Fei (Britne Oldford), Ben (Justin H. Min) and Marcus (Justin Cornwell).
And, of course, we couldn’t mention The Umbrella Academy without the show’s leading star Elliot Page, who’s taking on the role as Viktor Hargreeves.

Earlier this year, the actor tweeted a still from the upcoming season with the caption ‘Meet Viktor Hargreeves’.
Viktor will come out as transgender in the third instalment of the epic Netflix series, which drops on the streamer on 22 June, 2022.
