If there’s one thing most people all love about The Boys, it’s the shockingly insane scenes that no other show even tries to get away with.
The show burst onto the scene in 2019, with it's first season taking viewers aback with the gore, guts, and superpowered sexual scenes that we’ve all come to know it for.
It is often easy to forget however, that the actors on the show go through a lot sometimes to get us the show we see.
Whether that be being constantly covered in fake gore and guts, thrown all over the shop on wires, or in some cases being expected to take part in disgusting sexual scenes – it places a lot of onus on the actors.

This is something that was especially true for Chace Crawford, who admitted that filming one particular scene in The Boys had a massive effect on him.
Crawford plays The Deep, a superpowered parody of Aquaman who is able to communicate with sea creatures, something that is often played for laughs.
In one storyline from season three, however, his character has sex with an Octopus.
During the ‘Herogasm’ episode, The Deep is caught getting intimate with an Octopus called Ambrosius, who is actually voiced by Tilda Swinton in season four.

In an exclusive interview with UNILAD, The Boys creator Eric Kripke said this was the one thing that Amazon actually asked him to tone down from season four, saying they requested ‘less octopus f**king’.
Crawford, however, has admitted that the idea of filming the scene almost gave him a panic attack.
He told Rolling Stone: “It’s so funny and brilliant now, but when that came up, I was like, ‘Oh God, how’s this going to work'.”

He went on to say: “It got 24 hours out from the first day I had to shoot it and I almost had a panic attack.
“I called Kripke — he’s so great. He’s got a million things going on but his door’s always open. So, I was worried about the scene.
"I’m like, ‘How are we gonna do this? What are the angles gonna be? How naked do I have to be?' He changed one shot for me. And it was great.”

Rolling Stone also revealed that, whilst the show has an intimacy co-ordinator, this particular scene did not.
Crawford ended by saying: “Just the act of picking up the octopus and getting a wet octopus in the bed was so funny and weird.
“And then it doesn’t come out for a year almost, and you’re like, ‘How is this going to be received?’.
Thankfully, I don’t think anyone judges Crawford for the scene, and here’s hoping he’s done having to f**k an octopus on camera.
