McDonald's dips are a favourite among customers, but you might think twice before asking for ketchup the next time you visit because some stores are now charging for them.
Yes, trips to the Golden Arches could get more expensive and fans of the fast food giant are not happy about the new charge.
They have been taking to social media in droves to complain about the charge after they noticed new signs explaining that 'dips from 10p.'

Taking to TikTok, a woman named Samantha Butler filmed an employee adding the new sign to a self service machine in a UK McDonald's branch.
She captioned the now-viral video: "McDonald's charging 10p for dips now."
This went far from unnoticed with McDonald's fans on social media, and since being posted a day ago, it has been viewed almost 10 million times.
Reacting to the news, one shocked fan wrote: "They can't even put in the 40p dips u pay for on delivery."

"This is the beginning of the end of the world," added a second, shocked viewer.
"PARDON???!" questioned a third. "They used to be free, what happened?"
A fourth wrote: "they can't even get my order right yet they have the audacity to try and charge for dips?"
"This better be a joke," added another shocked fast food fan while someone else fumed: "They will still forget to put them in the bag."

Fast foodies went on to speculate about what was causing the price increase, and they weren't blaming the ongoing cost of living crisis.
"That's my fault when I ask for like 15 at a time," admitted one TikTok user.
A second agreed, remarking: "well... when people want 8 sauces for one ten piece nugget. the company got to do something."

Meanwhile, one TikTok user thought it was bizarre that the sauces were free in the first place.
"I mean them being free to begin with was odd," remarked another TikToker.
Then there were some fast food fans who said they'd simply not pay it.
One wrote: "Well that's my dip gone then I am not paying for dips [sic]."

McDonald's has responded to the outrage in a statement.
The fast food giant said that while some establishments are now charging for dips, this is not a 'McDonald’s-wide policy'.'
A spokesperson told LADbible: "The majority of our restaurants are ran by franchisees who are able to set prices at their discretion.
"Some franchisees may take the decision to charge customers for sauces where they are not included as part of a meal."
