After failing to show up for his set on Friday, Leeds Festival and Lil TJay himself have confirmed he’s set to return sooner rather than later.
Fans of the 22-year-old American rapper now have something to look forward to after being left disappointed when the ‘Calling My Phone’ musician failed to show up for his set.
He was due to perform on the Main Stage West on Friday (25 August) between 4.35pm – 5.10pm, however the festival’s organisers released a statement confirming he was nowhere to be found.

“Unfortunately, Lil TJay hasn’t arrived on site and we haven’t been able to contact him. We hope he will arrive soon,” the statement from organisers said. It was displayed on the screens by the stage as fans were waiting for the rapper’s set.
As you would expect, fans were outraged and took to social media for answers.
One person wrote: "@yorkshirepolice I’d like to report a missing person. It seems @liltjay has gone missing at Leeds ffs.”

Lil TJay appeared to address the situation in an Instagram Story yesterday, which seemed to show the rapper in Manchester.
He said: "For everybody who missed the set, I'm sorry man. I missed the set, I'm sorry. I'm going to be there at 12.30pm, make sure y'all there. I'm the star of the show I've got to take my hat off. Show me some love tomorrow."
The rapper later corrected the time to 12pm, though it was not clear at the time if the rapper was speaking about a rescheduled Leeds festival set.
Representatives for Lil TJay and Leeds Festival did not immediately respond to comment when contacted by LADbible. It might've been because they were in the midst of preparing his 'surprise' performance.

Both Lil TJay and Leeds Festival have confirmed he’s due to perform on the Main Stage West today at 12pm as part of a ‘surprise performance’.
The news was shared on the X account, without explaining why he failed to show up on Friday.
At around 11am today, Lil TJay posted a simple Instagram Story confirming his attendance, which read “Leeds [pleading face emoji] @ 12.”

Fans can now breathe a sigh of relief - and call off the search party.
Not everyone was thrilled with the last minute set, with one festival-goer writing: "Stitched me right up, Frank turner now clashes with Murder Capital, dilemmas first thing in the morning."
Another simply joked: "Charged his phone then."
Lil TJay is also due to perform at Reading Festival on Sunday (27 August), which was confirmed in the tweet announcing his ‘surprise’ performance at Leeds today.
