Junket interviews are a strange thing.
From the actors' standpoint, they're the most boring aspect of the job; they travel the world to promote their film or TV show and are stuck in a room for hours on end while they're asked the same questions over and over again.
I mean, it would get to anyone, right? Which is why there are countless videos of of A-list stars kicking off.

However, for the journalist, it's tough for an entirely different reason; on a deadline from their editor, they're sent in to get something that no one else has managed to get from their interview, and are given just a couple of minutes to do it.
It can get pretty tense.
So in a bid to break the boredom, stars try and find ways of keeping things interesting, such as completely ignoring any attempt by the interviewer to get what they want.

That's what happened to Chris Van Vliet when he sat down with Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Reynolds.
The pair of Hollywood stars were on the promotion tour for their sci-fi movie Life and they decided that they really weren't up for answering his questions.
In a clip posted to his YouTube page, Chris said that it was one of his 'favourite interview moments ever' even though it went completely 'off the rails'.

The video then cuts to the Reynolds saying: "All I can see is someone flashing 'two minutes' behind your head.
"This poor guy going, 'I haven't had one question answered in this entire interview'."
Gyllenhaal then, clearly not willing to give Chris an inch, goes off: "But I will say like, Fraggle Rock is extraordinary."
Cue Reynolds to absolutely crease up and the seconds to tick by even more, with Chris no option but to let it play out.

Pitying the interviewer, Reynolds at one point offers to give him a break, saying: "And to answer your question, maybe the only question you'll get answered from... "
But before he can finish what he's about to say, his co-star jumps in and derails it once again, asking: "Why would you do that? Sorry, hold on one second. Don't do that."
Reynolds then asks: "Did I just throw you under the bus? I apologise. How did the tyres taste? Ok, pretty good? Lightweight or heavy duty truck?"

Errr... yeah.
But while he didn't managed to get anything seemingly related to the film they were promoting, Chris certainly had an experience he won't forget in a hurry.
